Indoor riders can participate at our RIDE HUB at the Golden Circle, at home, at the gym… wherever makes sense for you. Outdoor participants choose their own route and can visit 4 participating local locations for cool swag and treats.
Do we need to ride/run for 12 hours?
Last year’s challenge was to ride for 12 hours, which riders could complete solo or share among team members. We want to make the event more accessible this year, so we encourage individuals and teams to create their own goal. Your personal goal can be a grueling endurance challenge or a kind-to-the-body pledge to raise funds; it is up to you.
How do I fundraise?
Once you complete your registration, a personalized link will be provided to you to create a fundraising page. You will receive two emails to help you set up, customize and share your fundraising page. Hold tight, these emails aren’t instant.
Does each team member fundraise individually?
Each team member must fill in their own registration form for liability purposes. Upon registration, a personalized link will be sent to you to create an individual fundraising page, but you can contact us directly if your team wants to collectivity use one fundraising page.
What is the Ride Hub?
The RIDE HUB is meant for participants to ride together using an indoor bike setup. We encourage participants to bring their bike and trainer (or stationary bike), laptop or tablet, fan and any other personal items you may need. We are offering nutrition and hydration and will have a medical team on site. Riders remain engaged with activities and surprises. Radio stations will also be on site to help us boost our fundraising efforts.
How do I ride virtually?
We encourage participants to participate outdoors or via Zwift. Zwift is a multiplayer online cycling physical training program that enables users to interact, train and compete in a virtual world. A bike trainer is directly linked to Zwift, allowing you to control your avatar. The Zwift program but isn't necessary to participate.
What is Strava?
Strava is the social network for athletes. Activities recorded on GPS enabled devices go to your Strava feed, where your friends and followers can share their own activities, give kudos to great performances and leave comments on each other's activities. We intend to stay connected via Facebook and Strava.
