Young Guns Rehabilitation Scholarship
The Young Guns Golf Tournament began in 2002 by a group of community-minded individuals, all with a strong hockey background. Many were either former Red Deer hockey players or family members that wanted an opportunity to give back to the Red Deer community. The committee annually holds the Young Guns golf tournament and donates the proceeds to charities in Central Alberta.
In 2012, the Young Guns Rehabilitation Scholarship was established. This scholarship is available to individuals who are beginning or advancing their career in the field of physical rehabilitation and who have a permanent address within 100 kilometers of Red Deer.
The scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,500 to an applicant but may be withheld if a suitable candidate is not identified. Scholarship(s) are to be used for a credit course from a certified educational institution.
Must be enrolled in a program directly related to rehabilitation
Must have already successfully completed at least one year of their program.
Must have work experience in physical rehabilitation.
Must provide transcripts & confirmation of enrollment from the registrar.
Must demonstrate outstanding aptitude and professional ability.
The successful candidate must provide his/her social insurance number.
Applications are accepted until March 1st, 2019.
