Lloyd & Evelyn McNeil
Nursing Scholarship
The Lloyd & Evelyn McNeil Nursing Scholarship, established by Evelyn McNeil, is made available annually through the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation for an individual beginning or advancing his/her career in Nursing. Evelyn and her husband Lloyd were longtime supporters of the Foundation. Evelyn began her nursing career in 1949.
Each year, the Lloyd & Evelyn McNeil Nursing Scholarship will be awarded to up to six applicants pursuing a career in Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing, in the amount of $4,000 each. The successful recipient must have his/her permanent address within 100 kilometres of Red Deer. The scholarship may be withheld if a suitable candidate is not identified.
Eligibility:

Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing program, Nurse Practitioner program, or Masters of Nursing.

Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Must have already successfully completed at least 25% of the program.

Must have a demonstrated aptitude for excellence, professional ability, initiative, and/or leadership.

Must provide official transcripts & confirmation of enrollment from the registrar.

Must have demonstrated an outstanding aptitude and professional ability.

Must have a permanent address within a 100km radius of Red Deer.

The successful candidates must provide his/her social insurance number.
Process:
Applications are accepted until March 1st, 2025.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
