A Legacy of Care
The late Ronald John “Ron” Faye’s generosity will continue to shape healthcare in our region for generations to come. Through a remarkable estate gift to the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation, Ron ensured his values of care, community, and education live on.
Ron was deeply connected to the land and to the people of the Innisfail area. His legacy includes significant support for the Operating Room at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, including the creation of an education fund for Operating Room staff, reflecting his lifelong belief in learning and growth. His gift also provides meaningful support to the Innisfail hospital, benefiting the community he called home.
We are profoundly grateful for Ron’s generosity. His legacy lives on through the patients cared for, the healthcare teams supported, and the communities strengthened by his foresight and compassion.
Wording for your Will
Here are two simple ways that you can put a charitable gift in your Will.
Specific Bequest
TO PAY to Red Deer Regional Health Foundation, or its successor organization, for its general purposes the sum of ^^ ($^^) dollars [or ____% of the residue of my estate], and I declare that this sum shall be used by Red Deer Regional Health Foundation as to both capital and income for any purposes permitted by the by‑laws of Red Deer Regional Health Foundation, either immediately or at any time or times and in any amounts determined by the directors or managing body thereof; provided that nothing herein shall prohibit the investment of this sum or of any part thereof which is not required for immediate expenditure.
Bequest in Trust for a Stated Purpose
TO PAY to Red Deer Regional Health Foundation, or its successor organization, the sum of ^^ ($^^) dollars [or ____% of the residue of my estate], in trust this sum shall be used by Red Deer Regional Health Foundation as to both capital and income to for the purpose of _____________________________________ (the “Stated Purpose”) , either immediately or at any time or times and in any amounts determined by the directors or managing body thereof; provided that nothing herein shall prohibit the investment of this sum or of any part thereof which is not required for immediate expenditure. If at the date of my death the directors or managing body of Red Deer Regional Health Foundation determine the Stated Purpose is not possible or practical, the directors or managing body of Red Deer Regional Health Foundation shall have the sole discretion to apply the funds to another use directly associated with the Stated Purpose as determined in the sole discretion of the directors or managing body of Red Deer Regional Health Foundation.
