Scholarships Awarded for Central Alberta Healthcare Students

Red Deer, Alberta: Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation has provided 20 healthcare students with educational scholarships, totaling $83,000.
Students pursuing a career in a wide variety of healthcare-related fields were able to apply for educational funding available through the Foundation’s Annual Scholarship Awards Program in early 2025. The students are enrolled in various healthcare programs, including cardiology, respiratory health medicine, hospice palliative care, nursing, and pediatrics.
This year’s winners are: Cheyenne Gualberto, Hamrin Kaler (x2), Shannon Pitre, Christina Darby, Jackie Labios (x2), Kattie Winn, Melissa Konjolka (x2), Avery Olafson, Danielle Allin, Mackenzie Grayson (x2), Victoria Johns (x2), Michelle Swarbrick, Kerissa Henry, Rebecca Cook, Kassie Billings, Brittany Hollett, Jennifer Huseby, Elsa Purvis, Katie Kralka, and Corey Ovie.

Since 1994, contributions to the Foundation have provided funding to purchase vital equipment, giving healthcare professionals the tools they need to provide the best possible patient care. With the support of their donors, the Foundation strives to maintain their vision of providing world-class healthcare for everyone in the region.
