Scholarships

The Red Deer Regional Health Foundation and Alberta Health Services are proud to offer learning opportunities for residents of Central Alberta who wish to further their educations in the healthcare profession.

2024 submissions now closed.

Only applications dated December 15, 2023-March 1, 2024 will be considered.

Successful applicants will be notified by email in May 2024. Only successful applicants will be contacted.

2019 Scholarship applications will be available December 15, 2018

Cec & Phyl Holmes Scholarship

In memory of Phyllis Holmes.  Awarded to up to four applicants pursuing advanced education in cardiology or respiratory health medicine.

Leo J. Falardeau Endowment Scholarship

Awarded to up to four applicants pursuing education in nursing, cardiology and pulmonary or general medicine.

Lloyd & Evelyn McNeil Nursing Scholarship

Awarded up to six applicants pursuing advanced education in Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program or Masters of Nursing.

Lloyd & Evelyn McNeil Nursing Scholarship - Laboratory & Diagnostic Imaging

Awarded to up to three applicants pursuing advanced education in laboratory services and diagnostic imaging.

Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant pursuing advanced education in pediatrics or neonatology.

Dr. Ratzlaff & Dr. Molberg Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant pursuing advanced education in pediatrics or neonatology.

James Bradley Tubbs
Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to up to two applicants pursuing advanced education in respiratory health services.

Landmark Group of Builders
Youth Volunteer Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant registered in the AHS Youth Volunteer Program pursuing post secondary in a healthcare field.

George Blair Scholarship

Awarded to an applicant pursuing advanced education in Licensed Pratical Nurse, Health Care Aide, or Unit Clerk.

Red Deer & Area Staff Association Lifestyles Committee Legacy Scholarship

Awarded to up to three applicants currently employed by AHS, based within a Red Deer facility, and enrolled in an educational program to enhance current or future career with AHS.

Florence Embury Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to up to two applicants pursuing advanced education in the field of hospice, palliative care or oncology and employed on Unitl 32 at RDRHC.
