To Our Online Friends,
When a baby is born too soon, every second matters. In our NICU, we care for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients: newborns who weigh less than a bag of sugar, whose lungs are still learning to breathe, and whose hearts need extra help to keep beating strong.
For these babies, hope often comes in the form of a Giraffe Bed.
This isn’t just any hospital bed. A Giraffe Bed is a specialized incubator designed to mimic the womb. It keeps babies warm, protects them from bright lights and noise, and allows our care teams to work without having to move these delicate little bodies. Every feature is designed to give premature babies the safest, gentlest start in life.
But here’s the hard truth: these beds are incredibly expensive. And our hospital doesn’t receive full government funding for equipment like this. That’s where you come in.
With your support, we can place a new Giraffe Bed in our NICU. Your gift will help a baby take her first breath, help a father hold his son’s hand for the first time, and help a mother hear the steady, miraculous beat of her daughter’s heart.
Will you send your gift today to help give our littlest patients a stronger tomorrow?
We are here because of people like you. While our public health system covers the basics, the most advanced tools and technologies, the kind that save lives and bring families home sooner, are only possible through donor generosity.
This spring, we’re offering improved access to online giving to eliminate potential uncertainties related to the Canada Post Strike. Follow this link to give today: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E342678QE&id=183
If you wish to give via cheque, we would be more than happy to see you in person at the Foundation office, located at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre between the Jolt N Bolt Cafe & the south entrance.
With heartfelt gratitude,

Manon Therriault
CEO, Red Deer Regional Health Foundation
