Accelerating What Matters

There’s an idea I hear often, rooted in genuine care for our community. People ask whether giving too much to the Foundation means the government will step back. It’s a fair question, and an important one.

What I’ve seen is that it is not a trade off. Government funding remains the backbone of healthcare, supporting staff, programs, and daily care. That responsibility does not change based on community generosity.

Philanthropy plays a different role. It focuses on equipment, technology, and spaces that shape how care is delivered. Community investment often helps unlock government support. It signals urgency, local commitment, and shared belief in the need.

We have seen this firsthand. Donor support strengthens the case, builds confidence, and helps move decisions forward. It also accelerates timelines. Without it, projects move more slowly, and patients wait longer for care closer to home. Philanthropy does not replace government funding. It helps move it faster and further.
