Strengthening Emergency Care

We are proud to celebrate the Radford Family Foundation for their generous donation to Red Deer Regional Hospital’s Minor Treatment area - an investment that will have a direct and meaningful impact on patient care.

The Minor Treatment space is a vital and dynamic part of the Emergency Department. It is where patients receive care for non-life-threatening conditions such as cuts, sprains, minor fractures, and infections. While these conditions may not require lifesaving intervention, they still demand timely, skilled attention to prevent complications and support recovery.

Designed for efficiency, Minor Treatment plays a key role in improving patient flow throughout the Emergency Department. By providing a dedicated area for less acute cases, patients with more serious conditions can be prioritized quickly, while others receive focused care without unnecessary delays. This separation not only reduces overcrowding but also creates a more streamlined and organized care environment for both patients and staff.

Each year, thousands of individuals rely on the Minor Treatment area for prompt, compassionate care that helps them get back to their daily lives. The pace is fast, the demand is constant, and the need for reliable equipment and well-designed spaces is essential to maintaining high standards of care.

The Radford Family Foundation’s support strengthens this important area by helping ensure the right tools, resources, and environment are in place. Their generosity contributes directly to shorter wait times, improved patient experiences, and enhanced care delivery across the Emergency Department.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Radford family for their commitment to supporting local healthcare. Their investment is helping build a more responsive, efficient, and patient-centered system, benefiting our entire community.
